Brrrrrrr

Isn't this card just adorable? I've been wanting to use this stamp set for a while now, but couldn't find the right sketch for it. So, I saw this week's Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #47 and I thought it was just the right one for it.

The stamp set is Snow Place Like Home by our Craft Lounge. Patterned Paper is Tis The Season Snowflakes, and Tis The Season Stripe by BoBunny. This paper is Gorgeous! I also used Stampin' Up's Whisper White and Papertrey Ink Pure Poppy Cardstock. I stamped the images on taylored exrpessions Snow White Cardstock to color them in with copic markers. To make the card even more merrier, I added Rockstar Red and Sugar Sparkly Fluff on the sleigh, penguins belly and around the igloos open door. The red button is from Papertrey Ink's Holiday mix Vintage Collection. I've had the Felt Flurries (Snowflakes) by Stampin' Up over a year now and have lots of them. Now, I'm ready to make more cards using them!

I hope you like another of my Christmas creations!

Have a Great Weekend.

MOJO Monday #110

OMG! I'm such the procrastinator this week. I sat down to do this card tonight, thinking I had all night. But, my girlfriends called me last minute to go to the movies. So, you know how it is. I couldn't say "No." Now here I am scrambling to try to hit the Mojo Monday deadline. I've got my husband breathing down my neck cause he needs the computer, the girls are on the way, and I'm here stressing out!!!! OMG!!! Stamping is soo stressful. :) Just Kidding

Here is my Mojo for this week. For this card, I used Vintage Findings Christmas Kit by Making Memories from my local Archiver's store. I also used Martha Stewart's newest punches, Martha Stewart's Punch Around the Page Double Loops. I used a clear polka dot card stock from Stampin Up Night & Day DSP over the Blush Red Dark card stock from Taylored Expression.

Have a great night and see you tomorrow for next weeks Mojo Monday sketch.

My Little Ballerina

Here is my second card I made for the Taylored Expression Sketch Challenge #86. I made this card thinking of my beautiful ballerina Sophia. She started ballet this past summer and loves it. When I saw this stamp set, My Little Princess from Technique Tuesday, with a friend at the Creating Keepsakes Convention we both fell in love with it and also bought the prince stamp set.

I used Stampin' Up's Basic Grey cardsock along with Bazzill Basics Paper Tickled Pink. Patterned paper is from Karen Foster Design Ballet Collage. I also used vellum cardstock over the ballerina's tutu and over the ballet shoes. You know how I like to use dew drops on my cards to make them look different. This time I went a little bit extra and added a little bling to my dew drops.

Have a Great Night and wish me luck again!

Merry & Bright

Happy Wednesday! Hooray, the week is almost over!

This is Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #86. I participated on this sketch challenge to try to become a member of the sketch crew for Taylored Expressions. How great is that?! We'll see who are the three most creative winners. They will announce them on Saturday, October 17th.

Here is my creation for this great challenge. I used Basic Grey's eskimo kisses collection paper pack along with the matching chipboard stickers, and buttons. I also used Jolee's by You Holiday Lights embellishments.

While putting this card together I thought this little girl was super cute but needed some more to make her brigher. So, I dressed her up with some Sparkly Fluff on her hat and added some rhinestones in the middle of her dress. I also added rhinestones on the holiday lights of the title Merry & Bright.

Here a close-up of my creation.

Hope you're having a Great week and wish me luck.

Baby Layout

Here is another layout I worked on before leaving to Florida of when my daughter Sophia was born and finished when I got back. It's very simple but it looks really cute in person. I've enjoyed taking this online scrapbooking class because it inpires me more to make my scrapbook pages and use my Cricut more. I totally recommend an online scrapbooking class to anyone!

Here's my creation for the Quick Sketch #1

Enjoy!

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

Happy Friday Everyone!!!!

I'm alive! I was out of town last week celebrating my younger sister's babyshower in Miami, FL. That's why I haven't posted lately. We all had a great time socializing, laughing, and playing games. It turned out so nice. One of my favorite things we had was a table with clear canisters and a big martini glass filled with candy and chocolate that guests would take home. Since I haven't had a chance to work on any project, I thought I would share with you this wonderful idea and get a little inspiration.
Let me know what you all think!:)

Hope Everyone has a Great Friday night and a Wonderful weekend!

Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #40

I've been making so many "girly" cards lately that I've missed making cards that could be given to a boy. When I found this stamp set and patterned paper I knew exactly what I wanted to do. The elements coordinate perfectly. I really like the bright and fun colors it has. What I really like about this stamp set is that it includes numbers 0-9 which allows you to personalize the card for the person you're giving it to by including their age or the year.

Here is my creation for another great Tuesday sketch from Lord Have Mercy!

Have a Great Night!

  • Toy Transportation Stamp Set (Martha Stewart)

Got Sketch Doubles

I've been wanting to get back into my scrapbooking for a while now. But, never the time. You know how it goes :)

Then my friend, Anitra, introduced me to this great online Scrapbooking class. Well, of course, I signed up for it. The class started yesterday and already I have a great couple of scrapbook pages that came out of it.

The class is called GS Doubles (Got Sketches) by Got Crafts? I really enjoyed the first 2 layouts. I had left off with my son Claudio's scrapbook when he was 3 years old (BTW, he's eight years old now). I know, I know...you don't even have to tell me.

The pages turned out SUPER cute! Check them out.

Have a Great Night!!!

Hello Everyone and Happy Tuesday!!!

I've been kind of busy these couple of days. First of all, this past weekend I went to the Creating Keepsakes Convention in San Marcos, TX. It was AMAZING! My friend Melissa and I were so overwhelmed of how many vendors there were that we didn't know where to look. Ha! Ha! Ha!

Here is my creation for this week's MOJO Monday. It was quite a challenge for me to pick an image or greeting to use. I settled with Stampin' Up's Walk in the Park DSP which went very well with the butterfly. I really liked how it turned out using Dew Drops (my favorite accessory).

Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #38

Here is my card using the latest Lord Have Mercy! sketch. With all the heat we've been having here in Texas, my husband and I have been watching our grass and trees in our backyard struggle and in some areas die. I was just remembering when we planted those trees the first year we moved here. We didn't really know anyone and it was kinda scary moving to a new place so far away from family. Anyway, this sketch seemed to capture those feelings which is why I chose it for this weeks challenge.

Materials Used:
  • Plant a Tree stamp from unity stamp company
  • Bazzill Basics Paper (Vancouver)
  • Spring in Bloom and Just Stripes patterned paper
  • Stampin' Up's Very Vanilla and Pumpkin Pie cardstock
  • Stampin' Up's Ticket Corner punch
  • Paper Flower by Bazzill Basics Paper
  • Prima Flower
  • Green Olive Shimmerz

  • Stampin' Up's Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon

MOJO Monday 103

Who's ready for some cookies and cocoa during Winter? My inspiration for this card comes from my need for some cool weather. Also, seeing all the holiday stuff at every store I've gone to, especially, Archiver's. Let me tell you, when I go there my eyes just don't know where to look.

Here's my MOJO for this week using Jolly by Golly patterned paper by Cosmo Cricket. As you can see, I didn't stamp any image. I used Jolly by Golly Rub-ons that matched the patterned paper.

Here's a close-up where you can see the rub-ons better. I used the coffee rub-on and then cut it and adhered it with dimensionals to pop it up. That was one of my friends idea. Thank you Mrs. Anitra!

Have a Great and safe Evening!!!!!

Coffee Time!

When I first saw this new stamp set by Verve Stamps, I knew I had to get it. One of my favorite drinks and the first thing I have in the morning is coffee. Usually, my morning cup of coffee is the only time I drink it, unless of course, I go and have a cup with friends and family. Every time I visit my family in Miami I have to have Cuban coffee. Growing up in Miami, this was my addiction. It's the BEST if you need energy!

Here is Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #81. For this sketch challenge I used the stamp set, Delightful & Delicious, from Verve Stamps. As you all now know, the inspiration behind this card is my LOVE for coffee!

To make the stamped image more vivid, I embossed it with Stampin' Up Clear Embossing powder.

Here is my Creation.

  • Delightful & Delicious Stamp Set
  • Stampin' Up's Craft Chocolate Chip Ink Pad
