Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #40

I've been making so many "girly" cards lately that I've missed making cards that could be given to a boy. When I found this stamp set and patterned paper I knew exactly what I wanted to do. The elements coordinate perfectly. I really like the bright and fun colors it has. What I really like about this stamp set is that it includes numbers 0-9 which allows you to personalize the card for the person you're giving it to by including their age or the year.

Here is my creation for another great Tuesday sketch from Lord Have Mercy!

Got Sketch Doubles

I've been wanting to get back into my scrapbooking for a while now. But, never the time. You know how it goes :)

Then my friend, Anitra, introduced me to this great online Scrapbooking class. Well, of course, I signed up for it. The class started yesterday and already I have a great couple of scrapbook pages that came out of it.

The class is called GS Doubles (Got Sketches) by Got Crafts? I really enjoyed the first 2 layouts. I had left off with my son Claudio's scrapbook when he was 3 years old (BTW, he's eight years old now). I know, I know...you don't even have to tell me.

The pages turned out SUPER cute! Check them out.

Have a Great Night!!!

MOJO Monday Week 105

Hello Everyone and Happy Tuesday!!!

I've been kind of busy these couple of days. First of all, this past weekend I went to the Creating Keepsakes Convention in San Marcos, TX. It was AMAZING! I've never been to a Scrapbook convention before. It was like a being a child in a candy store. My friend Melissa and I were so overwhelmed of how many vendors there were that we didn't know where to look. Ha! Ha! Ha!

Here is my creation for this week's MOJO Monday. It was quite a challenge for me to pick an image or greeting to use. I settled with Stampin' Up's Walk in the Park DSP which went very well with the butterfly. I really liked how it turned out using Dew Drops (my favorite accessory).

  • Whisper White, Basic Grey Cameo Coral cardstock and Walk in the Park DSP (Stampin' Up)

This was actually the first time I ever used them. I also used Martha Stewart's butterfly punch and set a small rhinestone in the middle.

Here is my Creation.

Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #38

Here is my card using the latest Lord Have Mercy! sketch. With all the heat we've been having here in Texas, my husband and I have been watching our grass and trees in our backyard struggle and in some areas die. I was just remembering when we planted those trees the first year we moved here. We didn't really know anyone and it was kinda scary moving to a new place so far away from family. Anyway, this sketch seemed to capture those feelings which is why I chose it for this weeks challenge.

Materials Used:
  • Plant a Tree stamp from unity stamp company
  • Bazzill Basics Paper (Vancouver)
  • Spring in Bloom and Just Stripes patterned paper
  • Stampin' Up's Very Vanilla and Pumpkin Pie cardstock
  • Stampin' Up's Ticket Corner punch
  • Paper Flower by Bazzill Basics Paper
  • Prima Flower
  • Green Olive Shimmerz
  • Copic Markers
  • Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad
  • Stampin' Up's Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon
  • American Crafts Premium Ribbon made Exclusively for Archiver's
  • Dew Drops

MOJO Monday 103

Who's ready for some cookies and cocoa during Winter? My inspiration for this card comes from my need for some cool weather. Also, seeing all the holiday stuff at every store I've gone to, especially, Archiver's. Let me tell you, when I go there my eyes just don't know where to look.

Here's my MOJO for this week using Jolly by Golly patterned paper by Cosmo Cricket. As you can see, I didn't stamp any image. I used Jolly by Golly Rub-ons that matched the patterned paper.

Here's a close-up where you can see the rub-ons better. I used the coffee rub-on and then cut it and adhered it with dimensionals to pop it up. That was one of my friends idea. Thank you Mrs. Anitra!

Have a Great and safe Evening!!!!!

Materials Used:

  • 6x6 Jolly by Golly patterned paper by Cosmo Cricket
  • Jolly by Golly Rub-ons
  • American Crafts Premium Ribbon made Exclusively for Archiver's
  • Dew Drops
  • Stampin' Up's Very Vanilla and Riding Hood Red (retired) cardstock
  • Lagoon Bazzill Basics Paper

Coffee Time!

When I first saw this new stamp set by Verve Stamps, I knew I had to get it. One of my favorite drinks and the first thing I have in the morning is coffee. Usually, my morning cup of coffee is the only time I drink it, unless of course, I go and have a cup with friends and family. Every time I visit my family in Miami I have to have Cuban coffee. Growing up in Miami, this was my addiction. It's the BEST if you need energy!

Here is Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #81. For this sketch challenge I used the stamp set, Delightful & Delicious, from Verve Stamps. As you all now know, the inspiration behind this card is my LOVE for coffee!

To make the stamped image more vivid, I embossed it with Stampin' Up Clear Embossing powder.

Here is my Creation.

Materials Used:

  • Delightful & Delicious Stamp Set
  • Stampin' Up's Craft Chocolate Chip Ink Pad
  • Stampin' Up's Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip cardstock, and Au Chocolat DSP

  • Stampin' Up's Chocolate Chip 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon
