MOJO Monday Week 97

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Another week of MOJO Monday. Butterflies, Butterflies, Butterflies! I've been wanting to use the Flight of the Butterfly Stampset which was given to me at last year's Stampin' Up's Convention. It blended great with the Blossoms Butterflies Stack that I purchased at Joann Fabrics.

Here is my creation this week. I used the Cuttlebug's Swiss Dots embossing folder on the Blossoms Butterflies stack above the stamped images. I thought it added more character to the cardstock. I also added Dazzling Diamonds on the stamped butterfly and on the stamped flowers by the Happy Birthday. I punched circles and added butterfly brads.

Materials Used:

  • Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Old Olive, & Blossoms Butterflies stack
  • Blackbird Brads
  • Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder
  • Spellbinders Nestabilities Large Circles
  • Stampin' Up White Ribbon
  • Flight of the Butterfly Stamp Set
  • Fundamental Phrases Stamp Set
  • Photo Corners, 1/2" Circle, 3/4" Circle Punches
  • Dazzling Diamonds
  • Craft White Stamp Pad
  • Old Olive Stamp Pad

Have a Wonderful & Safe Weekend!

Quinceanera

What do you think of this card? Isn't it GORGEOUS?! I designed this card for a friend that is wanting to make Quinceanera invitations for one of her younger cousins.

Below is a close-up of the card where you can see where I used Dazzling Diamonds (glitter) on her crown, flowers, and the big number 15.

Below is the inside of the invitation after I stamped on it. I think it turned out very nice and elegant.

Materials I used:
  • Stampin' Up Whisper White, Real Red, Basic Black, and Vellum cardstock
  • Quinceanera Stamp Set
  • Eyelet Border, Scallop Circle, and 1/16" handheld circle Punches
  • Whisper White Organza Ribbon
  • Real Red Stampin' Write Marker
  • Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder
  • Dazzling Diamonds (Glitter)

Here is another version of the card using the same stamp set, Quinceanera. I made it for a good friend that is celebrating her daughter's 15's.

Materials Used:
  • Stampin' Up Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss, Textured Riding Hood Red, and DSP from the Sweet Nothings Simply Scrappin Kit
  • Scallop Circle, Handheld circle Punch
  • Smooch
  • Pearl Dew Drops
  • Angel Wings and Olive Shimmerz

After trying Shimmerz last night at a friends house, I really fell in LOVE with them. Gotta have them!

Birthday

Here is another birthday card I made today. My inspiriation came from a stamp set I saw at Michaels today. The stamp set, Wedding Cake, is from Martha Stewarts Crafts collection. I've never used her stamp sets before, but, they looked so nice and were the right price (clearance for $4.95!!!!!! Yeah!!!). So, I bought a couple different sets. They stamped nice and were a great bargain. Love it!
Materials used:

  • Stampin' Up's Top Note Die, Flower Fusion, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP, In Color Melon Mambo cardstock, Crushed Curry cardstock, Whisper White cardstock, Daubers, Crushed Curry and Melon Mambo Stamp Pad & Chit Chat Rub-Ons
  • Dew Drops, Prima Flowers, Ribbon
  • Martha Stewarts Wedding Cake Stamp Set

I used Daubers to color the inside of the image, stamped the image on Melon Mambo cardstock, added a Rub-Ons greeting and popped it up with Dimensionals. I really liked how it turned out.

You can never go wrong with making birthday cards. There's always a birthday every month in my stamping world. I'll be checking my calendar to see who is the lucky person to get this card.

Mojo Week 96

Here is my finished card for the Mojo Monday week 96. I made this card for a cousin who is expecting her first child as part of her Baby Shower gift.

I used Stampin' Up's So Many Scallops Stamp Set, whisper white cardstock and simply scrappin special delivery girl kit that I had bought to use for my daughters' scrapbook when she was born 3 years ago. I never used it, so, I said to myself that this is the perfect time to use it. I also used Nana's Nursery Baby Girl premium stack that I had bought at Joann Fabrics a while back. Let's not forget my favorite, Dew Drops. Spellbinder's Nestabilities is also a nice touch to a card. It cuts a shape and then embosses around it.

I also decided to make a baby scrapbook album that would go very well with the card. I saw one that my friend made for another friend that just had a baby and I totally was in love with it. I was excited looking at it that I blurted out "That it was WORTHLESS!" What I meant to say was that it was "PRICELESS!" since it was beautiful and one of a kind. Her reaction was even more priceless. But, she knows me well and knew what I meant. It was so funny that we couldn't stop laughing.

To make this scrapbook album I used the same special delivery girl scrappin kit from Stampin' Up and the Nana's Nursery premium stack. I also used the Pretties Kit and colored the ones' on the front page with Stampin' Up's stamp pad using a dauber. The pearls are from the pretties kit as well. And, of course, you can't go wrong with ribbon. They are all from Stampin' Up.

Here are the pages that I made.

Hope this gives you ideas of how to give a gorgeous and "Worthless", LOL, I mean Priceless gift to someone.
HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!

Feliz Cumpleanos

I'm excited that I finally decided to start my stamping blog. Two of my friends have started their own blogs and I really enjoy reading about the great projects they've done. I also read other blogs and enjoy them as well. Those blogs have inspired me to start my own. I really like being able to share with everyone how great the cards come out.

I made this birthday card for a good friend and a second one for my favorite aunt whose birthdays are this month.

I used one of the Mojo Monday Sketches of week 94. The website is a great place to go to get ideas on layouts for your cards. I also used the new In Color cardsocks and DSP Razzleberry Lemondae from Stampin' Up . The colors are very nice. Since I haven't bought the new ribbons that match the paper, I looked through my ribbons and found this retired one from Stampin' Up. It's the Double Stitched Purely Pomegranate. Believe it or not, I used flower Rub-Ons for the image on the Nestabilities Labels One from Spellbinders. I also used Dew Drops from The Robin's Nest. I LOVE them! You'll be seeing lots of Dew Drops on my cards.

I hope to keep up with all of you in the stamping world!
